# What is the timeline for hiring a helper?

## The timeline for hiring a helper will depend on the country the helper is currently in.

**Transfer Hiring**

Hiring a transfer helper takes 7  to 10 days, depending on the speed of the documents being signed and the helper’s release date indicated by her current employer on the release paper. 

**Hiring from the Philippines, Indonesia, and Abroad**

Hiring a helper from these countries takes an estimated time of 4 weeks, depending on various factors (eg: if the employer does not have an active tenancy agreement or IPA, or if the helper is a first-timer)

If the helper is over 50 years old, the application may take 3 to 4 weeks.
